We all have times in life when we lose our way

Counselling offers us the space to reflect on where we are and where we want to go. Whether we are struggling with anxiety, depression, issues within relationships, feelings of low self-worth, grief or just the constant juggle of life’s challenges, counselling offers a unique opportunity to work through these issues in a supported environment, without judgement or shame.

Counselling is led by you and is not about the therapist telling you what to do, but rather is about the therapist creating the right environment for you to explore together how you can go about finding the right path forward.

Counselling offers us a new perspective, shining the light onto things that we might not otherwise be aware of. This gives us a deeper understanding of ourselves, and the situations which are causing us distress.

As we gain in self-awareness, we can then make conscious choices about how we respond to challenges, rather than just reacting to them based on our previous conditioning and experiences.

This is transformative within our relationships with others, and also, perhaps more importantly, within our relationship to ourselves.

"We cannot change, we cannot move away from what we are, until we thoroughly accept what we are. Then change seems to come about almost unnoticed."

On Becoming a Person - Carl Rogers
