<image:title>Home - We all have times in life when we lose our way</image:title>
<image:caption>Counselling offers us the space to reflect on where we are and where we want to go. Whether we are struggling with anxiety, depression, issues within relationships, feelings of low self-worth, grief or just the constant juggle of life’s challenges, counselling offers a unique opportunity to work through these issues in a supported environment, without judgement or shame. Counselling is led by you and is not about the therapist telling you what to do, but rather is about the therapist creating the right environment for you to explore together how you can go about finding the right path forward.</image:caption>

<image:title>Home - Counselling offers us a new perspective, shining the light onto things that we might not otherwise be aware of. This gives us a deeper understanding of ourselves, and the situations which are causing us distress.</image:title>
<image:caption>As we gain in self-awareness, we can then make conscious choices about how we respond to challenges, rather than just reacting to them based on our previous conditioning and experiences. This is transformative within our relationships with others, and also, perhaps more importantly, within our relationship to ourselves.</image:caption>

      <image:title>My background</image:title>
<image:caption>I am a fully qualified, experienced, humanistic counsellor and have been working with clients since 2011. I am registered and accredited with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow their Ethical Framework. I am passionate about the potential counselling has to enable changes for us all, and my years of experience have only grown this passion further, as I see people gain so much from the process of counselling, time and time again. I have experience working in private practice, in an agency setting, in a hospice and in GP practices. Along with my Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, I have completed a Certificate in Counselling Supervision course, a Couples Counselling Certificate course and many continuing professional development workshops. I work with individuals (adults and young people) and couples, face to face, online or via telephone sessions. I have a special interest in working with anxiety, since this common difficulty can have an enormous impact on people’s lives, and the right counselling support can completely transform this issue. I also love working with issues around self-esteem, sexuality, bereavement and working with people who identify as neurodivergent. These are all areas that I feel a particular affinity for and gain a great deal of fulfilment from working with. I aim to be authentic with my clients, I am on the same journey myself after all, and still have much to learn. I am not there as the expert, teaching my clients how they should do life, but as a catalyst and support as they explore this for themselves. It is a privilege to work in a role that involves others placing so much trust in me, and being willing to share their most vulnerable fears and concerns with me and it is a great joy to witness the healing and growth that develops as a result of this.</image:caption>
